Treatments in more detail

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy uses suction cups placed on the skin to help improve circulation, reduce muscle tightness, and aid recovery. It is commonly used for:

- Tight upper traps and neck pain
- Back tightness
- DOMS/recovery after training
- Muscle stiffness from combat sports or gym training
- General recovery and mobility work

Cupping can also be a great option for clients who are extremely sore or sensitive and struggle to tolerate deeper sports massage techniques, such as during acute back tightness or flare-ups.

IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation)

IASTM uses specialist tools to help treat tight or irritated soft tissue and improve movement quality. It can help with:

- Tendinopathies (tennis elbow, Achilles, patellar tendon)
- Scar tissue and muscle tightness
- Reduced mobility
- Shin splints
- Tight calves, hamstrings, forearms, and shoulders
- Chronic overuse injuries from sport or gym training

Compex (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation)

Compex uses electrical muscle stimulation for recovery, rehabilitation, muscle activation, and pain relief. Common uses include:

- Post-surgery muscle activation (e.g. after ACL reconstruction or knee replacement)
- Quadriceps activation after knee injuries
- Pain relief for conditions such as tennis elbow or lower back pain
- Recovery after heavy training or competitions
- Improving circulation and reducing muscle soreness
- Supporting rehab when muscles are inhibited or weakened

Cryocuff Hire

The Cryocuff combines compression and cold therapy to help manage swelling and pain after injury or surgery. Best suited for:

- ACL reconstruction
- Knee replacement surgery
- Acute knee injuries
- Ankle sprains
- Post-operative swelling
- Early-stage injuries with inflammation and pain

Cryocuff hire is most beneficial during the early stages after injury or surgery when swelling control and pain management are priorities.
